Stakeholders from the various South Senatorial District in a security meeting on Wednesday, agreed to support Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranching Establishment Law in the state.
They agreed that they will support the war against kidnapping, cultism, banditry and other criminal act in the state.
During the meeting, the Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, who was appreciated for his effort in battling Covid-19 in the state, tell the people of the state to join hands with his government to improve security in Benue state.
According to the agreement pepper read by the governor shortly after the meet, all the stakeholders agreed to support the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranching Establishment Law and also subjects to arrange security post in Ado LGA to help settle boundary issue in the area.
They also subjects that the authorities should from time to time organize seminars and workshops for traditional rulers and other stakeholders to help them understand chieftainship law and their duties to enable them communicate rightly to the youth in the area.
The stakeholders also challenged the government to seriously ban inter-state travel ban to control the spread of coronavirus in the state and to encourage the state to play serious with farm! added that agriculture program is the next foundation for Nigeria economy.
They also agree to arrange vigilante group to support security fight in the state.
