Ike Ekweremadu Turns 58th Today

Ike Ekweremadu, a Nigerian politician and lawyer, was born on 12 May 1962. He is of Igbo origin from Enugu State.

He was called to the Nigerian Bar back then in 1987 as a Bachelors and master’s degree holder in Law from the University of Nigeria. But the Bachelor and Master degree was not all as he also holds Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Law from the University of Abuja, Nigeria.

In 1997, Ike Ekweremadu was Chairman of Aninri. At that time he won the Best Local Government Chairman Award in Enugu State and was appointed Chief of Staff to the Enugu State Government House.

Ike Ekweremadu was also appointed as Secretary to the Enugu State Government in 2002.

He served his father land in the Nigerian Senate since May 2003, under the unbrellar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). And was the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate for 6th, 7th and 8th senate.
