Officials of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), are in search for a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) who reportedly fled after tested positive for COVID-19.
The officer is said to have fled when a team of officials from the NCDC came to evacuate him on Friday afternoon.
According to report, the CSP was been quarantine and receiving treatment at the National Hospital, Abuja Isolation Centre after he tested positive, but left the hospital to his home where he continued self- treatment with the help of friends and colleagues until NCDC officials arrive his home to convince home to follow them.
Some health workers, led by policemen from Garki Division, who went to the officer’s residence were refused entrance. Rather, the officer and his family members were seen peeping at the health workers and the policemen attached with them through the window of their home. Effort to evaluate the officer to isolation Centre was unsuccessful.
