Self-Sanitization Gate Set Up In Mecca’s Grand Mosque, Saudi Arabia

The General Presidency of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque launched self-sterilization gates at the entrance of Mecca’s Grand Mosque as measures to curb Covid-19 outbreak.

Every person entering the mosque’s courtyards pass through the gate which sterilizes them from head to toe using a sanitizing spray.

The gates set up a week after thermal cameras were installed at the Islam’s holiest site, been the Kaaba in the Grand Mosque in Mecca. The cameras, capable of scanning the temperatures of up to 25 people at the same time, are also placed at the entrances of the courtyards.
