Throw Back Photo Of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan As Uniport Student In 1977

The former Nigerian president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan school at St. Stephen’s Primary School, Otuoke; St. Micheal’s Primary School, Oloibiri.

He was educated at Mater Dei High School, Ogbia.

He received his Bachelor of Science Degree, Master’s Degree and Doctorate in Hydrobiology and Fisheries Biology from University of Port Harcourt.

He served as a Science Inspector of Education, a lecturer at Rivers State College of Education Rumuolumeni (now Ignatius Ajuru University). He was also an Assistant Director at the defunct Oil Minerals Producing Areas Development Commission before joining politics.

Before he became the president of Nigeria, he was sworn in as Deputy Governor of Bayelsa in May 29 1999 alongside Diepreye Alamieyeseigha who came in as the governor of the state. Goodluck Jonathan became Governor of Bayelsa State from 2005 to 2007. He continued his political career as the Vice President of Nigeria from 2007 to 2010.

He was the President of Nigeria from 2010 to 2015 before handling over power to President Muhammadu Buhari after losing in the 2015 election.
